Do you have one of those “Crazy” Adventure Race friends and always wondered exactly what it is they do in one of their races. OR, Are you a Spartan and Mud Run enthusiast who loves the rush and is looking for your next “Big” thing? Soggy Bottom Boys Racing will be hosting the 2017 SPROUTE Beginner’s Adventure Race on Sat April 8th, 2017, and NO Adventure Race experience is necessary! If you can follow a Park Trail Map, you can complete this course.

Description

Racers will have 4 hours to cover this beginner’s course, complete with some fast, sweet singletrack and trail mountain biking, paddling and orienteering. The SPROUTE is a USARA Qualifier race as well for those looking to earn points. Rental boats are available as well. This race will feature top finisher awards, lots of SWAG raffle, hot homemade post-race food, and FREE post-race massages. If you’d like help locating a teammate, we are here to help you, just ask!

Cost:

  • $50 a person thru December 31st, 2016
  • $60 a person Jan 1st thru February 28th, 2017
  • $75 a person after March 1st, 2017

USARA

As this is a USARA Qualifier race, during packet pickup all team members must be present, all forms must be completed for each team member, and Insurance fees must be paid for USARA membership. USARA forms will be available at Registration for all team members. USARA fees of $8 for a one-day race membership, $35 for yearly membership, or proof of USARA membership are required and can be paid at packet pickup.

There will be some boat Rentals available through the Park System. If you are interested in renting a boat, please contact mark@sbbracing.com and let him know you want to be placed on the Boat Rental List. Park Pricing will apply.

Adventure Racing cannot go on without a great Volunteer staff. If any racer’s friends or family members are interested in volunteering while you race, please fill out the Volunteer Form and send to mark@sbbracing.com. They can work as little or as much as they would like. You will earn valuable discounts on Race Entry for future SBB Racing races that they can use or gift to anyone they choose.
