USARA

As this is a USARA Qualifier race, during packet pickup all team members must be present, all forms must be completed for each team member, and Insurance fees must be paid for USARA membership. USARA forms will be available at Registration for all team members. USARA fees of $8 for a one-day race membership, $35 for yearly membership, or proof of USARA membership are required and can be paid at packet pickup.

Boats Rentals

There will be a Boat Drop on race afternoon. Teams may provide their own watercraft. Canoes are HIGHLY recommended for the course based on racers having to place bikes in the boats to paddle, but not required if you can strap your bikes on top of a kayak. There are Canoe Rentals available through Pocomoke River Canoe Company and the State Park System.

If you are interested in renting a canoe, please contact Barry Laws at Pocomoke River Canoe Co. (410-632-3971) for complete details and to set up a rental. I believe rental pricing is $50 for the entire race and includes delivery to 1st Paddle Section and removal after the race.

Lodging

ALL racers race entry includes a FREE Camping spot the night before and the night after the race (if desired). There is a number of hotels available w/in 20-30 min of Race Start as well as Cabins in the Park for rent. A list of these will be made available on the SBB website when the race Venue is announced in Summer 2017.

Volunteers

Adventure Racing cannot go on w/o a great Volunteer staff. If any racer’s friends or family members are interested in volunteering while you race, please fill out the Volunteer Form and send to mark@sbbracing.com. They can work as little or as much as they would like. You will earn valuable discounts on Race Entry for future SBB Racing races that they can use or gift to anyone they choose. If they work the entire race, they earn a 100% paid race entry in any of our 2018 AR races.
