For all of you who have been training and racing all year and are peaked for your strongest race of the year, SBB Racing invites you to an Epic race course designed just for you to wrap up your race year. The 2017 STORM the Eastern Shore Adventure Race will continue in a long-standing history of Epic Coastal Adventure Races. It is a USARA Points Qualifying Race and features a 24-30 hr overnight Advanced course.

It is complete with Mtn Biking on Singletrack, Grass, Sand, Gravel and Roads. It will also include our signature “Time Trial” section for overall race time reduction, some “Old-School” type Paddle sections, Daytime and Nighttime Orienteering, an “Amazing Race” type Navigation section and much, much more. Your race entry also includes FREE overnight camping spots before &/or after the race. The 24-30 hr race as always will feature Cash Prizes or Free Race Entry for top finisher Team(s), lots of SWAG raffle prizes for everyone, Hot Soups, Stews and plenty of homemade Fall food favorites, and a FREE post-race massage for all (What a way to finish a race)! As this is a USARA Qualifier race, during packet pickup all team members must be present, all forms must be completed for each team member, and Insurance fees must be paid for USARA membership. USARA forms will be available at Registration for all team members. USARA fees of $8 for a one-day race membership, $35 for yearly membership, or proof of USARA membership are required and can be paid at packet pickup.

Boats Rentals

There will be a Boat Drop on race morning/afternoon. Teams may provide their own watercraft. Canoes are “Highly” suggested for the course based on their designed usage on the course, but not required. There will be canoe Rentals available through the Park System. Rental cost includes delivery to Boat Drop. If you are interested in renting a boat, please contact mark@sbbracing.com for complete details and to let him know you want to be placed on the Boat Rental List. Park Rental pricing will apply.


ALL racers race entry includes a FREE Camping spot the night before and the night after the race (if desired). There is a number of hotels available w/in 20-30 min of Race Start as well as Cabins in the Park for rent. A list of these will be made available on the SBB website when the race Venue is announced in Summer 2017.


Adventure Racing cannot go on w/o a great Volunteer staff. If any racer’s friends or family members are interested in volunteering while you race, please fill out the Volunteer Form and send to mark@sbbracing.com. They can work as little or as much as they would like. You will earn valuable discounts on Race Entry for future SBB Racing races that they can use or gift to anyone they choose.
