The Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all registration for any Adventure Race placed by our clients. These Terms and Conditions replace any of our earlier terms and conditions in relation to our Adventure Races and no variation to these Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless agreed by Soggy Bottom Boys Racing (hereafter SBB Racing) in writing. By booking with SBB Racing, you agree on behalf of yourself and if not yourself, the Racer/Participant to be bound by them in their entirety. SBB Racing cannot confirm any registration until we have received full payment or a voucher where applicable.

Price and Payment

The price of a registration will be the price stated on the most current price list /website. Any subsequent variation in the price agreed by SBB Racing will only be valid if confirmed in writing to you. Payment of the stipulated price will allow you to reserve a place (if one is available) on the selected race operated by SBB Racing. We will be under no obligation to allow you to participate any Adventure Race or to reserve any team slots selected by you for any Adventure Race, unless or until the price has been paid in full. Payment may be made by credit card or debit card via Paypal.com, by a valid coupon code, or cash (on race day if space is available).

Coupon Codes

SBB Racing Coupon Codes are valid until used, and may be redeemed towards a race during a later date. Coupon Codes cannot be exchanged for cash. Any race purchased using a Coupon Code must be registered to take place within such period of validity, extensions are unavailable. ‘Early Bird’ Coupon Codes are time restricted and subject to availability.

Safety Conditions

You agree on behalf of yourself to observe all SBB Racing adventure racing rules and regulations and all instructions given by SBB Racing including our staff and volunteers. You agree on behalf of yourself and your team to observe and comply with any advice, instruction, request or decision made by us whether on the grounds of the safety you, your team, or any other person or for any other reason at all. You agree on behalf of yourself and your team that our opinion on all matters regarding safety will be final. You agree on behalf of yourself and your team that any racer or team acting in a manner which in our opinion is dangerous, or may interfere with or disrupt the Adventure Race will at our sole discretion and without further liability to us immediately have their race terminated without refund. If you are involved in any incident which results in the mountain bike you and your team are riding leaving the specified race course or activity area you will forfeit any points and awards. Where an activity requires the wearing of a bicycle helmet, this is mandatory and there is no exception.

Cancellation and Refunds

All registrations are made subject to a 14 day cooling off period. After this time or in the event you do not show up for the race you have registered for, or if one or all of your team fails to attend, no refunds will be payable by SBB Racing. An extension beyond the cooling off date of the registration will be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of SBB Racing and may be subject to a $25.00 charge. Once a registration has been confirmed any amendments to the registration may only be made up to 14 days before the race date and will subject to an administration fee of $25.00. You must notify us as soon as possible if you or any of your team is unable to attend the race. If you wish to send a replacement team member to take the reserved team activity, we can accept substitutes up to the time of registration, providing they comply with all necessary criteria. We reserve the right to postpone your race for whatever reason including adverse weather conditions, decisions regarding adverse weather conditions cannot be made until the day of your race. We cannot be held liable for any associated travel or accommodation costs incurred in this circumstance. In the event of cancellation, SBB Racing may provide you with one of the following options: a rain date, a partial refund, a full refund, or free entry coupon code for another SBB Racing event held later in the year.  In the event that you need to cancel your race at short notice due to illness or accident of you, or one of your team members, or the death of an immediate family member, Jury Service & Armed Forces Deployment, then it may be possible to obtain a full refund at the discretion of SBB Racing, full details available on request.


Should you be unhappy with any aspect of your race, please highlight this to a member of staff on the day in order to provide us with the best opportunity to rectify the problem. Complaints received after the event are required in writing to mark@sbbracing.com and the receipt will be acknowledged within 72 hours (or 3 working days). Please note it may take longer to resolve any issues due to the time it will take to investigate after the event.


It is a condition of this Agreement that in order for you and your team to take part in an Adventure Race you and your team must be in a fit medical condition to participate in it and must sign our disclaimer of liability agreement prior to its commencement. Please note that some medical conditions preclude certain racers from taking part in an experience; please check with your GP prior to participating in an endurance activity. The racer must not have consumed any alcohol or banned substance prior to the adventure race and we will be entitled to prevent a racer from adventure racing who in our opinion may have consumed alcohol or a banned substance beforehand. Any racer failing to sign our disclaimer of liability agreement will not be permitted to take part in any adventure race activities. You are liable for ensuring all racers on your team are sufficiently capable of understanding instructions given to them in the English Language on safety or whilst racing and we will not be liable in any way for any consequences arising from your failure to do so. You are liable for your family or any of your team member’s family attending a race and for their safety. Any provisions in these Terms and Conditions applying to the conduct of the racer apply equally to any such friends or family. Pets or animals are required to follow park policies. We will not be liable for any event or occurrence outside our control which results in cancellation and/or modification of any race from that registered by you or advertised by SBB Racing. A racer may be liable to pay for any damage caused whilst they are adventure racing.

Experience Timings and Descriptions

Racers should arrive at the race venue at least 30 minutes prior to their race start time. Racing teams will not be provided any race materials until the entire team has arrived and completed all the required documentation. SBB Racing reserves the right to prevent racers from participating in an activity without attending the preceding race safety briefing, so it is essential you arrive on time.
Race timings and descriptions stated by our staff, agents or in our printed materials are approximate and should only be used as a guide. All start times are approximate, and SBB Racing may requiring racers to experience some waiting time before their race officially begins. We reserve the right at our sole discretion to alter or amend the content and/or course of any adventure without notice. All adventure races are offered subject to availability.
