Amber was introduced to Adventure Racing by one of her co-workers in 2011. She played basketball in college and was looking for a competitive, fun, challenging, and team-oriented sport to continue to participate. Adventure racing was and remains the perfect fit. She previously has worked in Sports Medicine as an Athletic Trainer for athletes ranging from elementary school to professional. Currently, she is a Registered Nurse working in an emergency department. Presently, she is in school to become a Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, she coaches girl’s 5th and 6th grade basketball.


Amber started AR Racing in 2011 in 24 hour races. She started on a 2-person female team, then in 2012 transitioned to 4-person co-ed. She races predominately in 24 hr + races including Expedition races including the Maya Mountain Adventure Challenge. Favorite Discipline – Mountain biking

  • 2014 – Maya Mountain Adventure Challenge (1st place, 2-female)
  • 2016 – Black Bear 12hr Adventure Race (1st place, Co-ed)
  • 2017 – Break the Habit (2nd place, Co-ed)
  • 2011-2018 (Various Top 5 or better finishes in many races)
